Ernest King, Interim Music Minister

Please extend a warm welcome to Mr. Ernest King our new interim Music Director! Ernest is a graduate of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, and is a graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been married for fifty years to his wife, Dorothea, who is the organist for Immanuel Baptist Church in Savannah. He has one son, Trey, a daughter-in-law, Jackie and one seventeen-year-old grandson, Royce. Ernest served for thirty-eight years as the Minister of Music at Immanuel Baptist Church in Savannah. He has also served as the organist for two United Methodist Churches in Savannah – Epworth UMC and St. Luke UMC. Ernest has lived in Savannah for over thirty-five years.
